However, it is listed in that large file of scam hyips. I purchased the domain from some hyip owner, who told me that the site lived not longer that for 2 weeks and due to hosting down problems, could not sustain all of the payouts. And the part about its life seemed to be true. So I purchased it with no much worries.

The Webpage you have Doesn't explain ANYTHING like you just mentioned.  I can understand Bandwidth costs, but minimum investment of $50 Via E-Gold?  Asking blind $50 investments is VERY much like an HYIP.
